What are the minimum eligibility criteria for earning CPE credit when attending a live webcast?
As a member of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, webcasts must adhere to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s (NASBA’s) guidelines. We use online participation time and poll responses to prove that each participant has actively participated for the duration of a webcast.
When attending a live webcast, criteria to earn CPE are:

Number of Polling
Questions Answered |
|
1 CPE Live Webcast |

|
2 CPE Live Webcast |

Note: You must meet both the duration and the poll requirements.
What constitutes “Total Presentation Viewing Time”?
The viewing time that is taken into account is the time spent viewing the webcast during the presentation. Time spent logged in prior to the start of the presentation is not counted in this total.
If I register for a webcast but can’t attend, can someone else use my webcast login link?
No, each individual intending to participate on a webcast should register for him/herself and log in as him/herself. In order to earn CPE credit, we need to track participation of each individual who attends the webcast. If you are joining the webcast with someone else's login information, we will not have proper records of your attendance as you will be listed under the other person's name. Please be sure to always attend a webcast using the login link that was sent to you. Do not share your webcast login link with others.
Can I earn CPE credit if I view a live webcast with a group of people on one computer?
Yes. You can earn CPE credit if you view a live webcast with a group of people on one computer. To be eligible for CPE credit, the members of the group must meet all of the minimum eligibility criteria and follow the process detailed in the Live Webcast Group Attendance CPE Policy. I was participating on a live webcast, but was unable to submit my polling question response before the poll closed. Can I still earn CPE credit?
Yes, if you still meet the minimum eligibility criteria for earning CPE credit when attending a live webcast (listed above). If you would like to submit your polling response, please send a message to the moderator using the Questions feature in the GoTo platform. The moderator will guide you through the process of submitting your polling response. Please note, for those attending the webcast on an individual computer, all polling responses must be submitted while the webcast is in session as we track polling responses answered during the webcast to show that attendees were actively participating throughout the event.
I was participating on a live webcast, but experienced technical difficulties and had to log off and back on during the webcast. Can I still earn CPE credit?
Yes, if you still meet the minimum eligibility criteria for earning CPE credit when attending a live webcast (listed above). Due to the strict regulatory guidelines we must follow issued by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), we are unable to grant CPE credit when eligibility is not verified by the technology to have satisfied the minimum eligibility criteria. You may not receive CPE credit if you did not completely meet the eligibility requirements listed above, even if technical issues contributed to ineligibility.
